Exceptional
10.0The hotel was exquisitely furnished. The staff were absolutely delightful and knowledgeable We were made so welcome and we would definitely stay here again
− Nothing
Beautiful and bohemian!
9.0Good reception, beautiful rooms and the food is excellent. Good breakfast options available. It’s in a great location right next to the American embassy.
− They don’t really accommodate late check out requests.
Alchymist stay
7.0The Alchymist is a lovely hotel, with a great location. The breakfast was good, and the bed pretty comfortable.
− Bottom line? It is seriously overpriced. We reserved a junior suite, but it wasn't much bigger than a standard room. It did have a table and one easy chair, though. The breakfast was fine, but at these prices I didn't think one should have to pay extra for eggs Benedict, etc. The pool was too cool for us. We really would have liked to have a hot tub. Our room was on the street, and very noisy. When I asked our room steward if it was always that noisy, he said yes. That would have been a perfect opportunity for him to ask us if we wanted a different room, but he did not. I should have asked at reception, but foolishly did not. So, due to road noise starting at 6 in the morning, we didn't sleep well. The bathroom was fine, but could use some hooks on the wall for hanging out pajamas. Service was pretty good, but no one came out to help us with our luggage when we arrived, even though we saw other people being helped promptly. Overall, I would not stay here again, nor recommend it.
Guest review
Guest review
5.0Close to the central amenities
− It's a 5 star hotel smelling after urine.
