Never again been to better hotels

− ⭐⭐ Not a Great Stay at The Guardian Hotel We stayed here from Wednesday to Friday, with four of us sharing a family room. Unfortunately, our experience was not a great one, and there were several things that really let the hotel down. As soon as you enter reception, there are four steps to get your luggage up, and no assistance was offered by any member of staff. This was particularly disappointing as we had my mum with us, who is disabled, and we had several suitcases. The welcome at reception wasn’t particularly friendly either. We were simply given our room key and told where breakfast would be served and that our room was on the fourth floor. There was very little explanation or help offered. The lift was another major issue. It is very small and realistically only has room for around two people, yet there were four of us with four suitcases. This meant we had to make multiple trips in the lift just to get everyone and the luggage up to the fourth floor. At one point, my sister gave up and carried some of the luggage up the stairs herself, despite having her own health issues. This really shouldn’t have been necessary. The family room itself was very small for four people, and the air conditioning was extremely noisy. There also wasn’t enough tea, coffee or milk provided for four people. When I went downstairs to ask for more, unfortunately the member of staff was quite rude and only gave me a limited amount rather than making us feel welcome. The following morning, I asked if the hotel could arrange a taxi for us to the airport for the next morning. Again, the response from the member of staff wasn’t particularly friendly or informative, which unfortunately added to our overall experience. Breakfast was okay, but nothing special. For the price and standard of the hotel, I expected much more choice and a better overall breakfast experience.

− Tutto è troppo piccolo: stanza, ascensore, reception. Il lavabo inoltre non era nel bagno ma nella stanza da letto.

Venligt personale i morgenmadsrestauranten men frysende kold aircon trods 35gr udenfor. Tagterrassen burde være åben hele dagen og mere personale, flinke men for travlt og lidt beskidt deroppe.

− For langt væk fra seværdigheder. Toiletsædet var ikke soft-close og larmede enormt. 1/2 af værelset lå i total mørke og det tog receptionen 2 dage at skifte en pære/sætte lille lampe på værelset. Vi var 3 og følte os klemt, det var beregnet til 5! Receptionen for lille og ikke så venlig/informativ om fx morgenmadstider, områdekort m.m.

The staff were friendly

− The room was not properly cleaned — we even found someone else’s dirty socks left inside, which was absolutely unacceptable. The shower next to the toilet was not working properly, and when we tried to use it, the bathroom almost flooded.
