Fabulous quaint Tuscan hotel 20 mins walk to the Uffizi

Villa Royal is a quaint welcoming hotel with everything we needed to relax after long days sightseeing and touring Florence and surrounding Tuscan areas. Our room was exceptionally clean and air conditioned. One slight issue for us was the shower room being slippery (we should have asked for a bath mat to assure us!). Breakfast had a great selection and was taken in a lovely breakfast room overlooking the gardens. You can eat in the garden if you like however we chose not to. Lots of European visitors had driven there and there is ample parking. The pool area is an added bonus although we only managed a couple of hours there due to our packed itinerary. The staff were all customer facing and helpful.

The location is great, especially if you are coming by car. The hotel is just outside the ZTL, which means you can easily drive there without entering the restricted traffic zone. From the hotel, it is about a 15-minute walk to the Duomo and a 10-minute walk to San Marco. The room is comfortable. The bathroom we had was very spacious and bright, especially compared with the size of the room. The breakfast is very good, and the staff are welcoming and attentive.

− However, the hotel parking is quite expensive (€30–40 per day). It is even more expensive than parking in central Rome. The reception experience was rather disappointing. When we first arrived, the man at reception did not even look at us and there was certainly no warm welcome. The lady at reception the following day was much friendlier. Our room was next to the stairs, so it could be quite noisy when people, especially children, were going up and down.

Hotel je blizu centra grada na 10 minuta.Privatno parkiralište je najveći benifit hotela i nine ga potrebno rezervirati.

Il contesto della villa; la sua posizione rispetto al centro e all'autostrada; la camera delle giuste dimensioni; la pulizia curata nei minimi dettagli; letti comodi; la colazione ricca e di buona qualità; il parcheggio auto disponibile all'interno della struttura; il giardino e la piscina. Personale educato e gentile.

− L'ascensore un po' datato con un cattivo odore proveniente dalla tromba/vano, non dalla cabina che era pulita. La passatoia usurata nel corridoio del secondo piano. Il colore bianco delle pareti della camera non fa risaltare molto l'arredo, essendo chiaro a sua volta. Suggerisco un colore sabbia o carta da zucchero abbinati al bianco delle cornici del tetto.

The location was perfect, only a short walk to the centre of Florence. Having a pool was ideal, it was nice to take a dip after a busy day exploring. The hotel is stunning inside, a really old building with great character and charm. The staff are very friendly and attentive, they made our stay very enjoyable.
