9.0This is one of my favourite hotels in Venice! This is the 3rd year in row we have been staying at the Hilton in Giudecca. We love it and obviously will be back next year.
− This time there was no drinking water in the room but there is a water fountain in the corridor. So we were ok but took us a minute to work it out.
A luxury hotel but didn’t fit our desire for a relaxing holiday (due to need to book and schedule pool and rooftop bar v
6.0It was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was excellent.
− The advertised shuttle boat to the main island in Venice was chargeable at €18 pp. Not clearly advertised as chargeable when booking. Swimming pool slots had to be pre booked each day. On our first day we couldn’t use the facilities as all the slots had been taken. Wasn’t allowed to call ahead to book a slot. Pricing variations across different restaurants and bars in the hotel. A beer was less in the lobby bar than in the restaurants. Overall, very expensive €14 for a bottle of beer.

− I have to be honest, my stay wasn’t great, as a lot of the things I’d expect a 5 star hotel to have included were charged at an additional cost, from the water, to the spa and shuttle. I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels and frankly, the Hilton was quite disappointing.

The swimming pool is only open seasonally in summer months. Please be informed that the pool has limited space, a reservation for a scheduled 2-hour slot is required to access the area. The booking can only be made directly at the hotel via our Guest Relations Team on the same day.
The shuttle service costs EUR 18 per person per stay
In compliance with the Italian law, minors accompanied by an adult other than their parents can be checked in the hotel only with a valid ID and if the adult provides a declaration of consent issued by the parents of the minor together with a copy of a valid ID. In case of a minor accompanied by a parent and/or guardian with a different last name, a declaration of consent of the same-named parent and/or guardian or other parenthood certification will be required together with a copy of a valid ID.
