An overpriced hotel with incompetent staff and unacceptable service. Worst experience ever!
1.0Proximity to main attractions
− Read this carefully. I travel for about six months every year and have been doing so for many years, so trust me when I say that I know a thing or two about hotels. I have never encountered such unpleasant and unhelpful staff. It started at check-in, when the receptionist was dismissive and almost seemed to make fun of me while explaining some absurd policies about why my booking could not be changed. I am sure the hotel will reply below by repeating the same ridiculous excuses. Without going into every detail, they forced my friend and me to stay in the same room, which meant that I had to sleep on a couch for the entire stay. I was honestly speechless, and that was only the tip of the iceberg. Later, I repeatedly asked the reception desk for help with very basic requests—things that a self-proclaimed five-star hotel should handle without hesitation. Every single request was refused. The worst incident happened when I asked the reception to book a table for my girlfriend and me at 7:30 p.m. The reservation was confirmed to me twice. However, when I arrived at the restaurant on time, there was no booking under my name. The hotel promised to resolve the issue and asked me to wait. After some time, I called again to ask what was happening, and they claimed that I had told them I was already inside the restaurant, which was completely false. As a result, I had to find somewhere else to have dinner at 8:30 p.m. on a Saturday night, simply because the staff of a supposedly five-star hotel could not even manage to book a restaurant table correctly. Considering the extremely overpriced rates, the service and facilities are unacceptable. You are given only a couple of tiny bottles of water, the shelf inside the shower is dangerously positioned, the toilet does not flush properly, and the lobby looks completely different in person. It feels more like a run-down three-star hotel from the 1990s than a five-star property.
