Underwhelmed for price we paid

Paying for location Breakfast was pretty decent, good choices and lots to eat but difficult at busy times to line up for toast etc

− Our room felt like a cave, no windows and felt quite claustrophobic. Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable:

An excellent location for a walking holiday in Rome

On arrival the receptionist was extremely helpful, highlighting our location and places of interest on the map. We arrived well ahead of check in time and our luggage was taken in and later helpfully delivered to our room. The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes from the top of the Spanish Steps and a Metro Station entrance. The Junior Suite booked is very clean and spacious having a large comfortable bed and a large modern flat screen Smart TV.

− We had booked a Junior Suite based upon the photos on Booking.com and the Hotel website. Unfortunately the reality of Room 202 was not quite what was expected. The room is on 2 levels with a dimly lit entrance area having the mini bar and the stated sofa and armchairs. The upper area has the hallway, bedroom and bathroom areas. The walls of the bedroom are an unexciting plain grey colour with no adornments to break up the monotony. The hallway wardrobe area is dimly lit and a torch was needed to see inside the wardrobe and the safe. The Jacuzzi, whilst being spacious and effective again lacked any addtional adornments such as reduced lighting to the area. The bathroom was spacious, with plenty of toiletries and the shower was excellent but the swing door to the bathroom would not stay closed without being propped. It would have been nice to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

La posizione è eccezionale, l'hotel in sé ha cose molto carine, e altre rivedibili o migliorabili. Abbiamo prenotato la Junior Suite con idromassaggio. La camera è spaziosa, la jacuzzi una meraviglia, così come il bagno moderno e grande. C'è però un grosso problema di insonorizzazione in questa camera. Nostra figlia doveva dormire nel divano letto, sotto alla tv, ma alla sera la televisione del vicino di camera si sentiva come se fosse accesa la nostra. Ci siamo dovuti sorbire un film d'azione e altri fantastici programmi in inglese fino a sera tardi. Il personale è intervenuto per quanto fosse possibile, ma si tratta di un difetto di costruzione, niente di risolvibile sul momento purtroppo. La colazione è un piccolo buffet standard, niente di eclatante (croissant migliorabili), ma vale la pena se acquistato a prezzo di offerta con la camera. In reception lo fanno pagare 20€ a persona e non li vale assolutamente.

− La camera Junior Suite 314 ha un grosso problema di insonorizzazione. Inoltre il primo giorno ho disfatto la valigia appongiando i vestiti a un mobile della camera, peccato che ci fosse candeggina sulla superficie e così ho rovinato un maglione praticamente nuovo. Problema segnalato alla reception, ovviamente non risolvibile se non con proposte di compensazione (accesso spa o un drink presso il bar).
